• Alizarian Design Principles

    • “Every page that we design goes through a rigorous process to ensure ease of use, purposeful layout, and accessibility.”

To create effective and usable pages, our designs follow a four-fold process.
    1. Improve the content by making it easier to scan, thereby helping readers find what they want faster. Ensure that related information is linked, encouraging visitors to stay on your site.
    2. Create a page layout that is intuitive and accessible. Avoid gimmicks and unproven methods, while favoring the formats that maintain visual appeal even with standard layouts.
    3. Implement an automated system to gather user feedback and customer preferences. Such tools will help enrich the visitor's online experience, while generating information necessary to improve products and services by adapting to market demands.
    4. Adhere to web standardization protocols by using the most up-to-date coding and conventions. Ensure that all content meets guidelines for people with disabilities by following W3C-WCAG and ADA Section 508 recommendations.
  • Content Optimization

    • Writing for the web is far different from writing for books or magazines. We are experienced with writing content using the journalistic “Inverted Pyramid” style to engage readers immediately with the most important facts.
    • Numerous studies show that online readers prefer to scan pages, rather than read line-by-line. We will reorganize your content to improve readability for quicker access.
    • Studies also show that online readers have a much shorter attention span than readers of books or newspapers. Because they have total control over all their activities, the key to grabbing a reader's attention is to give them the information they want, as fast and easily as possible. If done correctly, readers will be less inclined to go elsewhere. Gimmicks like flashing text or animations do nothing except distract and annoy.
    • The beauty of online content is that it is connected by links. Its information does not flow in a straight line like a book. Most websites fail in this respect - their individual pages lack interconnectivity. To solve this problem, we provide sites with an internal search engine, rich cross-linking for related pages, and context-based referrals.
  • Page Layouts

    • The best and most frequently visited websites aren't the ones with fancy splash pages or impressive animations. Successful sites have several things in common: intuitive layout, easy navigation, and little or no visual distractions.
    • Pages that are easy to navigate help search engines index your site faster. Alizarian web design methods naturally promote search engine optimization.
    • Many websites try to attract customers by flashing ads like TV commercials. While we are forced to sit through commercials, we can always navigate to another website. When was the last time you clicked on a flashy ad? The best way to attract customers is to give what they want only when when they actually want it. The answer lies in pages that give your readers total control over where they want to go.
    • Originality does not lie in making unorthodox pages with uncommon layouts. Strange page layouts does not equal creativity. They only bewilder visitors who would rather use familiarized page formats. We tend to expect to have our links and extra information on the margins of pages, while having the contend in the middle. Using familiar page layouts is not a sign of conformity - they are just pages that work best for readers. Your visual creativity will not be sacrificed.
  • Customer Feedback

    • In the fast-changing web 2.0 era of today's online environment, constant input and communication with customers is vital to market adaptability. Alizarian.com provides the tools and coding necessary to generate reliable, accurate statistics, product reviews, and customer preferences.
    • Create easy-to-use discussion forums (such as our own Alizarian Discussion Forum) to gather and share customer feedback.
    • Monitor user activities, in order to track visitor preferences, and to see what pages are popular. We also implement tracking studies to determine customer demographics, without infringing on their personal privacy.
    • Design polls for voting on product and service evaluation. With as much information collected as possible, in the most unbiased methods, we help businesses focus on successful operations while determining the prospects for struggling proposals.
  • Web Standardization

    • Two major problems with Internet technology are 1) the pace at which coding gets outdated, and 2) not all people use their computers the same way. The solution is design websites that both future-proof and universally accessible.
    • Alizarian.com supports and advocates international web standardization protocols as prescribed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This group sets the recommendations and conventions for ideal web coding. We take the extra step to ensure that our websites are compatible with all internet browsers, operating systems, and user configurations.
    • To help the elderly, the disabled and those working in constrained environments , we are experienced with validation benchmarks of the W3C's “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines” (WCAG) and the government's Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) Section 508 rules.
    • We future-proof all our websites by using only “semantic markup” - coding that is specifically designed to adaptable, manageable, easy to update. Alizarian pages are controlled by centralized styling and coding scripts. While other sites have to go through major overhauls for every update, our sites can achieve completely different appearances by changing a few files.
    • Proper coding also helps search engine crawlers find and rank your page easier. Using semantic markup helps search engine optimization because it describes page keywords better.
